Long Point Memorial

A memorial to those who served in WWII, and the Spanish American War from the Long Point community.  The names on the plaque are in bronze lettering so as to memorialize our sailors and soldiers.  In front of this is also a memorial of Long Point High School where the Township Shed now stands.  Many bands of bygone years have played here for summer get-togethers of the community and is still used today.  This structure had to be stabilized within the last three years to uphold the ceiling area and to save this memorial structure.  John Beutke is named here along with others whom started the American Legion Organization here in Long Point.  Some people still have memories of the names on this memorial and stories to tell.
